What to expect

Delivery & Assembly

Knowing what to expect on delivery day takes the stress out of a big purchase. Here is how it works and how to be ready.

How it ships

Most Signature Design pieces ship boxed to your door through Amazon's carrier network, with tracking from the moment it leaves the warehouse. Smaller accents arrive in a single carton; larger seating and case goods may come in two or three, sometimes on separate days.

Before it arrives

  • Clear a path from the door to the room, and measure it first with our Measure Guide.
  • Have the old piece moved out so the new one has a home the moment it lands.
  • Keep the packaging until you have inspected everything, in case a return is needed.

Assembly

Many pieces arrive ready to place. Those that need assembly include the hardware and clear instructions, and most go together with a screwdriver and a spare half hour. Case goods like dressers and beds are the ones to budget the most time for.

PieceTypical assembly
Accent chairs, tables, lamps10-20 minutes, minimal
Sofas & sectionalsAttach legs and back; 20-40 minutes
Beds, dressers, dining sets45-90 minutes; a second pair of hands helps
Returns: because purchases complete through Amazon, they carry Amazon's return policy and support. Inspect on arrival and start a return there if anything is not right.
